Kate Middleton Gives Birth to a Royal Baby Boy

Kate Middelton gave birth!

The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge welcomed a baby boy in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London on Monday (July 22).

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm. The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & families have been told and are delighted. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well and will remain in hospital overnight,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

According to royal tradition, news of the birth will be placed on an easel on the Buckingham Palace forecourt. A gun salute in the royal parks in London is expected to follow. Thecouple’s royal baby is now the third in line to the throne.
