Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang brought some Holiday Cheer to the victims of Hurricane Sandy on December 12the, 2012. The heartwarming event held at the Long Beach Ice Arena brought over 1,000 residents of Long Beach, Long Island who were affected by the hurricane.
At the event Families received live mini trees which they decorated with ornaments and took home and a movie screening of the famous Peanuts Christmas special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas”
There were also photo opps and meet and greets with the Peanuts characters including Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus, etc.
Children were treated to a “Decoration Station” where they decorated cookies and colored Christmas and Chanukah holiday cards.
The families got to enjoy light holiday refreshments and treats including hot cocoa, chicken noodle soup, cookies, popcorn and more.
A great time was had by all, to record the happy day a photo booth – People took pictures with Snoopy and gang and had images instantly emailed, texted or tweeted to them.
