Madonna on Parenting: “I’m probably Not As Tough As I Should Be.”

Madonna admits that juggling a new album and being a single mother to four kids is not easy in an interview on NBC’s Today show.

“We all have our challenges. To be a single mother of four and to work as much as I do, with my life in a kind of metaphorical fish bowl, it’s pretty challenging. But so far I’ve survived with sanity and humor intact.”

The singer also claims she could be a tougher mom.

“I’m probably not as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher.”

It seems that the cigarette her fifteen-year-old daughter Lourdes was recently pictured smoking was just a prop for a video.

“Every day is a negotiation, but cigarette smoking I’m not very fond of.”
