Dr Sears Family Essential Products

Dr Sears Family Essentials’ Baby Care line was developed with the expertise of the Sears Family of Pediatricians.  Dr. Sears Family Essentials Baby Care products are non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, and offer a fresh citrus scent that is derived from all-natural ingredients including vanilla, sweet orange and cedarwood essential oils.  The company avoids potentially-damaging ingredients like synthetics, dyes, allergens and pesticides, and uses only high quality, skin-friendly ingredients including plant-based oils (canola) and butters (mango, shea, cocoa), extracts (marigold flowers and vanilla), bees wax and gentle moisturizers that naturally protect and soothe your baby’s skin. Many celebs like Bethenny Frankel have started to use Dr Sears Family Essential products.

Naturally, I was interested in trying these products.  My Ava who is currently 2 ½ months gets dry skin very easily. When she was born I tried a natural product line on her, but it dried out her skin and I ended up using Vaseline to moisturize her skin.

So what did I think of Dr Sears products?

Baby Wash & Shampoo ($5.99):

I absolutely love this product. It is natural just like I wanted and doesn’t dry out my daughters skin. I use it every second day to clean her body. I like the clear texture and it lathers really well when applied to her body. It doesn’t have a  harsh smell either. It’s also nice that this product is a wash and shampoo.  My daughter has a LOT of hair, so it is important I use a product that cleans really well. I used the product on her hair and it did just that. The only problem is that Ava has dry scalp and if I use it to frequently it gets worse.  Ultimately, I will use this product mostly for washing her body.

Baby Lotion ( $6.99)

I never really used baby lotion before trying this one. I was really put off by the smells and dyes in most baby lotions. This product is great because it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals or dyes. Plus, it doesn’t have an overpowering scent. I was looking for a very “simple” lotion and this product is exactly that.

All Purpose Baby Wipes ($2.99)

Dr Sears all purpose baby wipes are environmentally friendly. They are made out of 100 percent biodegradable bamboo fabric.  The wipes cleaned great, but I just didn’t like the smell of them. If natural baby wipes are important to you then I would recommend them.  The price is unbeatable too.

Overall, I will continue using Dr Sears Family Essential products. They are all-natural and don’t break the piggy bank either.
