Katie Holmes goal as a parent is to make sure her 8-year-old daughter Suri Cruise leads a normal life. 

While appearing on the Wednesday’s Today Show to promote her new film The Giver, Holmes admitted she refers to her low-key life growing up in Toledo, Ohio when it comes to raising Suri outside of the media spotlight.

“I think, of course, you try your best,” she said of protecting her daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise.“I try very hard because I am very grateful for my upbringing and my parents and siblings. I try to do what they did for me for my little one.”

In the June issue of Australia’s The Weekly magazine, the Grace of Monaco actress gushes about how well her oldest children turned out and how much she loves her life with husband Keith Urban.

She tells that she is extremely proud of her adopted children, 21-year-old daughter Isabella and 19-year-old son Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise

“They are generous, kind and hardworking,” says Kidman. “And these are traits that I love to see in my children.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes daughter Suri Cruise is just like a normal little girl she goes to school on a regular basis and like any little girl her broken arm has not been stopping her from doing anything.  It also does not stop her from looking like the little fashionista she always does.

We caught up with the little trend setter leaving a building in New York City with a security guard yesterday. [October 9th, 2013]  Suri was dressed in her usual black school uniform and a bright pink polar fleece jacket to keep out the cooler Fall weather.  She brought along a stuffed animal that looks well warn.  I guess it is one of her favorites.  Her Mom Kate was no where to be seen.
