Heidi Klum Opens Up About Her Children To Elle Mother of four Heidi Klum has been gushing to Elle magazine about her children. She’s also revealed how they’re doing in the wake of her shock split from Seal earlier this year. The 38 year old is opening up about family life in the April edition of the mag.

The German born supermodel says she feels most beautiful when she’s surrounded by her kids ‘to be honest, it’s with my children. In my job, people tell you that all the time: ‘This shoot was great. You look amazing.’ But you never know what they say when you turn away. You can’t think about that—you’d go mental. But the kids don’t edit anything. When they kiss you and tell you they love you and say, ‘Mama, you’re the best’ — that’s really the only thing you care about.‘

Heidi mentions the marriage breakdown after seven years but is guarded when asked what happened given she has four little ones to protect ‘People don’t need to know who did what. I don’t want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we’re in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don’t think it’s necessary— especially for our children—to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about. I’m a lioness. I have four cubs. I’m a mom. I want to take care of my kids and protect them says. I don’t want to talk about them, or him, or me.’

Seal Opens Up About Kids In Wake Of Divorce

Seal may be preparing to divorce Heidi Klum but he’s told Ellen DeGeneres that his brood of kids remains his number one priority during these tough times. The singer taped today’s appearance on the popular talk show in Los Angeles on Monday.

No one was expecting Seal to show for the chat. It had been locked in before his relationship woes hit the headlines over the weekend. But he decided to face the music and set the record straight about what’s going on. Their interview covering his failed marriage and four children.

The superstar couple – who were married for almost seven years – have four kids. Six year old Henry Samuel , five year old Johan Samuel and two year old Lou Samuel . Seal adopted Heidi’s daughter Leni Samuel – aged 7 – when they got married in 2005.

The British singer told Ellen ‘I think we were shocked. You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say ‘I do’ and you say ’til death do us part.’ Those vows hold value. They are not just words… You try and you work through it and the thing that you quickly realize when you are married and you become a parent you do the best that you can‘.

Their kids were never far from his thoughts ‘The thing that I’m most proud about this great woman who I married (and I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart), is that together she has given me four incredible gifts…four beautiful children. She is still, in my opinion, the most wonderful woman in the world’.
