Celebrate Furry Friends with Netflix and Treats You Can BOTH Eat

Mother and her sons on couch watching TV

We all love our animals. Pets of shapes and sizes can complete any home and help you teach your children about responsibility, compassion, and love. Cats, dogs, birds, and even pet fish make great companions and one of our favorite streaming services is celebrating four-legged friends this month. So cuddle up on the sofa and celebrate furry friends with Netflix and treats you can both eat!

Cats rule the roost in our home. Our feline friend loves to cuddle on the couch or chase her tail. She is always kicking our German Shepherd off of her pet bed, but they do love to play together! If you get a laser pointer involved, it is hysterical to watch them both chase the little red light.

But, nothing beats cuddling together with a good show. Netflix has a ton of pet-related programing suitable for all ages.

Elle Fanning Visit's Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Elle Fanning stopped by Disneyland to visit Sleeping Beauty’s castle. The starlet plays Princess Aurora in Disney’s upcoming film, Maleficent,’ and shared some fresh footage at Disney’s Social Media Moms Conference.

The reboot of the film explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain. A betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone has been teased as a plot twist, but audiences will have to see the film to find out exactly what…or who drove her to such evil. New ‘Maleficent’ Poster Fresh From Disney

I’m still humming ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen,’ but Disney is quick to conjure up new films to entice you. So, bust out your vintage ‘Sleeping Beauty‘ movie to get your kids excited about ‘Maleficent.’ (At the very least, they will appreciate the stunning leap in cartoon image quality over the years!)

To this day, Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney Princess and Maleficent is my preferred villain. In this reboot of the classic tale, audiences will get the details as to how the be-horned queen became the Mistress of All Evil. In the 1959 cartoon version, she pops up uninvited to Princess Aurora’s royal christening and curses the infant Princess to “prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die” before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday.

Here’s a Fun Fact: Maleficent was voiced by Eleanor Audley in 1959, who was also the voice of Cinderella’s wicked stepmother!

What To Expect When You’re Expecting – The Movie

What To Expect When You're Expecting - The Movie

There is one movie that we here at Celeb Baby Laundry are really looking forward to. It’s called What To Expect When You’re Expecting. It’s based on the popular book by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel. It opens on May 11 but the first posters have been released and they’re lots of fun. It’s great seeing Cameron Diaz with a baby bump! They also features some quotes from the movie like ‘If I knew I’d have a rack like this, I would’ve gotten knocked up years ago.’

The movie follows the stories of five women dealing with the impending arrival of their little bundles of joy. So there’s someone we can all identify with in one way or another. The five women are played by Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Banks. Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison are also in the film. It’s a pretty impressive cast!

Each character has a different story to tell. Cameron is Jules – a gym junkie/fitness guru, Brooklyn is the blonde trophy wife and expecting an heir, Anna is Rosie a food truck chef while Elizabeth is a baby incubator and writer. J-Lo plays Holly who’s not expecting herself , but preparing to adopt a baby from abroad after having trouble conceiving . Just like in real life, each woman has a unique way of coping (or not coping) with the changes they’re going through.

So I reckon this is one movie all Moms-to-be, Moms, Dads-to-be and Dads will want to see when it hits the big screen.
