Nicole Richie, her husband Joel Madden enjoyed a day with this children, Harlow and Sparrow at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Ca on Saturday (Jan. 19).

Nicole Richie Takes Her Little Princess to the Fresh Beat Band Concert

Nicole Richie enjoyed a day with her daughter Harlow while attending the Fresh Beat Band concert at Nokia theater in Los Angeles, Ca on Saturday (Nov. 24). The concert was a live version of the popular children’s television show which airs on Nick Jr.

The mom of two wore a flower printed dress with lace trimming, black sunglasses and black beanie as she held the hand of Harlow. They two were joined by a group of the youngsters friends.

The day before the Richie and her husband Joel Madden were spotted taking Harlow and their younger child Sparrow to the Yo Gabba Gabba show. Other celebrities like Halle Berry, Alyssa Milano and Anne Heche also seen pictured taking their kids to the show.

Nicole Richie’s Latest Addition: A Family Pet!

Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden got a family dog!

Appearing appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the reality star turned designer opens up about her family’s latest addition.

“We just got a puppy, a German Shepherd named Ero,” the mom tells on the episode which airs today. “He is 18 months.”

“This is our first family pet,” she continued. “He’s a great dog. I’ve only had him about a week but he’s so sweet.”

However, Richie admits its really Madden’s dog because she has no intention of picking up after Ero.

“I actually told Joel, ‘I don’t want to pick up after any thing ever again. I’ve got my kids so I’m going to let you do that.’ It’s his dog, but I like to, you know, snuggle. I like to hug him and kiss him.”

Though Sparrow “was really excited” to welcome the canine, Harlow “did not want a dog,” Richie admits.

“She’s very delicate. She doesn’t like anything disturbing her space. Delicate would be the best way to put it.”

According to Richie, Harlow may change her mind in time.

“She’s definitely coming around,” the former Simple Life star says. “She’s down.”

Nicole Richie: I Want My Kids To Have “Stability”

Nicole Richie wants to give her kids a normal childhood.

In the September issue of DuJour magazine, the reality star turned fashion designer opens up about how how being raised in the entertainment industry influenced her ideas about motherhood.

“One of the biggest differences in the way I’m raising my kids versus the way I was raised is that I was on tour a lot. I don’t really do that with my kids,” Richie says. “It’s important to me that they have stability. I like them to be home.”

Nicole was raised in L.A. by her adoptive parents, singer Lionel Richie and his then-wife, Brenda.

“I was taken out of school and had tutors,” Nicole recalls. “By the time my father went onstage, I was asleep.”

The House of Harlow designer doesn’t blame her parents for her bad behavior in her teens.

“There’s no right or wrong way to raise a family,” Richie says. “Look, I don’t know anyone who can say they don’t just try and do the best that they can do.”

With her wild child days behind her, Richie is focused on building her brand.

“I don’t ever want to get to a place where I feel like I’ve conquered everything and I have nothing else to do.”

“I’m 30 years old. I have a lot to learn,” she adds.

Nicole Richie’s Children Critic Her Fashion Choises

Nicole Richie’s two children four-year-old Harlow and two-year-old Sparrow fashion critics in the making.

The reality star turned designer says her young children have a keen sense of style and give her brutally honest fashion advice.

”I was wearing these polka-dot harem pants the other day and my daughter said to me, ‘Mom, why are you wearing your pajamas out?,’ the mom of two told.

”I was like, oh boy, already getting an opinion.

”My son always comes up to me and gives me a hug if he thinks I look pretty.

”Their biggest compliment to me if I’m wearing anything with sequins on it, they tell me that I look like a princess.”

Richie add that she thinks the secret to her style icon status is her love of accessories.

”I think of myself as kind of a jeans and T-shirt person who just accessorizes a lot. I am probably an over-accessorizer.

”It’s really easy to change up jeans and a T-shirt with shoes and sunglasses and a bag. There’s a million different ways to go ahead and do that.”

Richie just launched her first self-titled fragrance which was inspired by her childhood and her personal style.

Nicole Richie’s Family Independence Day Breakfast

Nicole Richie and her husband Joel Madden took their two children Harlow and Sparrow to breakfast at Coogies Beach Cafe in Malibu, Ca for July 4th. Richie was dressed casual in shots and a sweater as she waited outside the restaurant with Sparrow. Madden held Harlow’s hand as they exited the restaurant.

Richie recently revealed that her height restricts the way she shops. The reality star turned designer rarely buys garments online because she has to see how they fit her petite frame.

“I’m five feet one inches, so it’s not as easy as just seeing something on a mannequin or a model and thinking, ‘That’s going to be cute on me’. I have to try things on and see how they fit on my body,” she told the August edition of British Elle magazine.

“That’s why I’m not a big online shopper. I like to touch the clothes, feel the fabric and try them on.”
