Angelina Jolie Undergoes Double Mastectomy – Says My Children Won’t Lose Me To Breast Cancer

Angelina Jolie underwent a preventative double mastectomy in February 2013.

The Maleficent star whose own mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer in 2007, underwent the preventative measure after learning she carries a “fault” breast cancer gene, BRCA1.

“My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman,” she writes in a essay for the Tuesday, May 14 edition of the New York Times

“Once I knew that this was my reality,” the mother of six tells, “I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy.”

Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox Jolie-Pitt were spotted arriving on a flight at LAX in Los Angeles, CA on Friday (April 12).

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Has Earned Her First Big Pay Check!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s daughter Vivienne has already scored her first big pay check!

According to TMZ, the 4-year-old reportedly earned $3000 a week to film a small role playing ‘Young Aurora’ in the upcoming film Maleficent. And on top of that, she gets a per diem of $60/day.

Angelina Jolie Pregnant Again With Baby Number #7?

The current issue of STAR MAGAZINE features the cover story, “Angelina I’m Pregnant Again.” In an explosive exclusive report the magazine claims that Angelina Jolie is pregnant again. Angelina and her fiance Brad Pitt already have three biological children and have adopted three children, so this would make baby number 7.

The magazine goes on too claim that Angelina is three months pregnant and Brad has leaked the news that the new baby is a boy to his friends. Angelina has always said that she and Brad, “have a very normal, very grounded home. And we’re friends, and we have a laugh with our kids.” So I guess it makes sense that they would have more children.

Angelina Jolie To Become a Stay-At-Home Mom

Is Angelina Jolie making the move from working mom to stay-at-home mom?

In a new interview, the actress reveals that she is thinking of giving up her career to become a stay-at-home mom as her six children with fiancé Brad Pitt reach their teens.

“I think I’m going to have to give up acting as the kids hit the teenage years,” the Maleficent star told Britain’sChannel 4 News, explaining that there would be “too much to manage at home.”

“I’ve enjoyed being an actress,” she continued. “And I am so grateful to the job. I’ve had great experiences, and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered…It’s a really lucky profession to be a part of. But if it went away tomorrow, I would be very happy to be home with my children.”

Being at home will also allow her to devote more time to her humanitarian work.

“I wake up in the morning as a mum, and I turn on the news like everybody else, and I see what’s happening, and I want to be part of the world in a positive way,” she said, noting that her philanthropic efforts had become a much bigger part of her life ever since she adopted son Maddox in 2002.
