For Teresa Palmer and now-husband Mark Webber, their recent Dec. 21 wedding was celebrated in the the bohemian tradition which seems to suit the lovebirds quite well. Not quite bohemian in the strict definition of the term, but in the encompassing of Buddhist, Christian, Hindu and even native American elements infused in their special celebration. Teresa is seen in the pictures wearing a custom-made Pallas Couture wedding dress which does indeed give her a bohemian air by accentuating her contrasting features.… [read more]
Kristen Bell has appeared in a few roles that could maybe be deemed worthy of censure over the years. The actress who has appeared in House of Lies and Veronica Mars has a philosophy for the upbringing of her daughter Lincoln that, at least, is keeping faith with her roles outside the household as she is not planning on censuring television material that her 10-month-old will be watching, at least not as it pertains to her own performances.
“She can watch whatever she wants,” Bell told tv host Chelsea Handler. “People ask, ‘Oh, well you’ve done some sexy material. Do you not want her to see that?’ And I’m like, ‘My guess is if she’s anything like the other 5 billion people on the planet, she’s gonna grow up and enjoy sex, so I’m not gonna be shocked by that.'” She went on to use the v-word to make her point even clearer: “I just think you’re setting yourself up for disaster if you try to keep them little,” said she. “She’s gonna grow up. She has — newsflash! — a vagina, and she’s gonna figure it out one day, and more power to her.”
Kate Winslet and husband Ned Rocknroll have named their newborn son Bear Winslet according to sources. This pseudo-announcement comes as a response to the two burning questions that Winslet fans (and Rocknroll fans of course) have had since it was announced that the actress was pregnant: 1) What would the name of the son be? 2) Would he have the mom’s uber famous last name or the dad’s uber cool but maybe less appropriate last name? And here we have it folks!
It was known that Winslet wasn’t a huge fan of having her newborn go by the surname of Rocknroll but this at least makes all things set in stone. Besides, with a name like Bear Rocknroll their son would probably have to follow in his daddy’s footsteps and get a legal change of name as the daddy previously went by Abel Smith.… [read more]
Camila Alves was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City with her kids on December 18. Sporting a pretty casual tire, including faded jeans and sneaks, the Brazilian model is hugging her daughter Vida, 3, in her left arm while her she’s holding onto her son Levi, 5, with her other hand. Absent in the shot are son Livingston, 1, and hubby and father to all three kids, Matthew McConaughey.
Alves was signed to Macy’s I.N.C. International Concepts in 2012 as the new face for the division of the popular American retailer. Although she is Brazilian, the model has been living and breathing USA for over 10 years. She met McConaughey in 2006 and the couple have been together ever since. They engaged in December 2011, and were married in June 2012 in Austin, the capital of the Lone Star State.… [read more]
As parents of babies and tots, there are few things that enjoy the comfort of the trunk of our car as much as our portable seats. Well, maybe besides the stroller so it could come in at number 2 although I find that with my daughter, Ava, being 2-and-a-half I use the stroller less and less. If I want to actually enjoy my meal while we’re out having supper as a family, I simply cannot forget the prized little tool. The problem with portable seats, of course, is that they’re not all made equal. Your child might love one and thus allow you to have that juicy steak and sip on that glass wine at will, but with another you’ll feel like supper would of been best at home. We’ve ran through a few portable seats over the last 2 years as Ava tends to be quite picky about these things, and if she’s not completely enamored by her seat she’ll tend to not let mommy and daddy enjoy that very coveted sip from the wine glass.
We’ve had plastic seats, wooden seats, padded seats, unpadded seats, and adjustable seats. Like I said, we’ve had a few, maybe a few too many – and by extension a few too few wine glass sips – so this is a topic we’re very well acquainted with. We also travel a decent bit, Ava having already toured a decent part of Europe as well as enjoying the beaches of the Dominican Republic and even the deep woods of a North American camp ground. She’s as well rounded as it gets for her. Our most recent addition to our family of portable seats is the Stokke® HandySitt® , pictured just below.… [read more]
Beyonce shocked the world when she released her eponymous new album Friday at midnight. Shock is really an understatement as she kept the release under complete wraps so that it got absolutely no publicity whatsoever before release. People knew she was filming videos for the possibility of a new album but no one knew where or how this major bomb was gonna drop. Well, it did and the resounding explosion seems to have been a roaring success: people still can’t believe that she released an album in complete surprise! It’s a kind of new way of marketing but not just anyone would have been able to pull it off. Not just everyone is Beyonce. The clout she has these days is quite unparalleled.
The idea behind her dropping a new album through her exclusive deal with iTunes is to kind of create a marketing after the fact. Drop the album, shock the world, media outlets around the world can pretend to be absolutely flabbergasted by the action, people buy the record the see exactly what all the fuss is about.… [read more]
