Carrie Underwood Celebrates Son Isaiah’s 2nd Birthday

Carrie Underwood took to her Instagram account to share a couple of shots of her son Isaiah‘s 2nd birthday party on Tuesday (Feb. 28).

In one photo, the birthday boy, dressed in a striped sweater and jeans, reaches up to catch a falling pink balloon.

“Where did two years go? My angel is getting so big! On one hand, it’s so fun to see him learn and grow but on the other, it’s all happening so fast! Happy birthday, little monkey! You are my world…my heart…and I thank God for you each and every day! The two years you have been on this earth have been the best of our lives! Mommy and Daddy love you so much! ,” she captioned the shot.

The singer who is married to NHL star Mike Fisher also shared two shots of Isaiah’s Cookie Monster birthday cake.

In other news, Underwood recently revealed that she is taking a career break to spend time ‘being a mom’.

“We just wrapped up the Storyteller Tour and I feel like my life right now, creatively, is kind of a blank space. I’m really excited about that, because you don’t know where you’re going to go,” she told People“I’m nervous because I want whatever I do next to be amazing, so I’m kind of taking a little break right now and being a mom and being a wife and going to see some hockey games to see my husband play. I’m kind of waiting for lightning to strike and go, ‘Okay, it’s time to get creative and work on new music!'”

Underwood and Fisher first met at one of her concerts in late 2008.

They became engaged one year later and married at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia,  in 2010.
