The Most Delicious Chocolate Chip Pancakes

It’s almost June and that means the kids will be home from school for the summer.  One of their favorite meals of the days is breakfast, so try spicing up  your breakfast menu with these amazing chocolate chip pancakes. Not only will your children love eating the pancakes, but they enjoy making them too. The recipe is simple and ingredients are can easily be found in most kitchens. 

Ingredients (makes about 8 medium sized pancakes)

The Most Delicious Chocolate Chip Pancakes

1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Cup + 1/4 Cup chocolate chips

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl mix together your flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder

2. In a separate smaller bowl mix together your milk, egg, melt the butter, and vanilla extract

3. Pour your milk mixture over your dry mix and beat well until there are no clumps

4. Mix in 1 cup of chocolate chips

5. Use a griddle and  turn your temperature to 300° and scoop 3 tablespoons of batter for each pancake, flip when the batter starts to bubble all the way through

6. Cook on both sides, stack, and top off with a few more chocolate chips

7. Optional step: In a small dish, microwave your remaining chocolate chips for 2-3 minutes on 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until melted, then drizzle over your pancakes

    When my Grandkids were young, they used to make me make them chocolate chip pancakes everytime they stayed with me. One day my one Granddaughter stayed at her aunts on her fathers side….. she had her aunt make her chocolate chip pancakes. When they were finished, my Granddaughter told her she didn’t make them right. I guess she liked mine better. LOL

    I love chocolate chip pancakes. I used to serve them for breakfast every single Easter. I haven’t made them in a while.

    The kids get out of school and my 9 year old loves helping in the kitchen and she loves pancakes and chocolate chips. I am going to have to make some of these with them should be on my list of the things we do on day one is parpare pancakes and then you can put them in ziplock freezer bags and make them smaller to fit in the toaster the kids can grab them and help themselfs in the mornings.
