Before becoming a parent, I thought cleaning the house was a big job. In reality, I didn’t really understand the word ‘MESS’ till my daughter was crawling around and tearing every little thing out of it’s place. Now that I’m pregnant with twins, the word ‘mess’ will inveitably be redefined once again! This time I’m preparing in advance on how to combat the constant messy house. So, when I was asked to learn more about the Dyson V6 Absolute Vacuum and to host a party for the new product I was more than willing. Owning a Dyson vacuum has only been a dream of mine forever!
More likely than not you have heard of Dyson vacuums. Not only are they powerful, but considered the best vacuum you can clean your house with by most avid cleaners and moms! In fact, Dyson was voted the most trusted vacuum cleaner brand by Canadian shoppers based on the 2015 BrandSpark Canadian Shopper Study. To say my party invitees were excited to get a look at the new Dyson V6 Absolute is an understatement.
The Dyson V6 Absolute is designed for hard floors and carpets. For that reason, it comes with two Dyson-engineered cleaner heads to ensure deeper and complete cleaning on both surfaces. Additionally, the V6 Absolute includes a HEPA Filtration to capture allergens, which is a must for pet owners and parents with small children.
My first observation when unboxing the vacuum is its different design – is it’s upright, handheld and cordless. These features alone were enough to excite me! Who wouldn’t be excited to be able to vacuum the tightest spaces while not having the cord fall out of the socket?
Soft roller cleaner head: Invented for hard floors. Soft roller cleaner head removes large debris and fine dust simultaneously.
Direct-drive cleaner head: Direct-drive cleaner head drives bristles deeper into the carpet to remove even more dirt. 75% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6 + vacuum.
2 Tier Radial™ cyclones: 15 cyclones, arranged across two tiers, work in parallel to increase airflow and capture more fine dust.
Up to 20 minutes of powerful fade-free suction: Trigger releases instantly. Battery power is only used for cleaning. Up to 20 minutes of run time.
Max power mode: Push button to select power. Provides 6 minutes of higher suction for more difficult tasks.
Mini motorized tool: Stiff nylon bristles remove pet hair and ground-in dirt from furniture, car seats and tight spaces.
Balanced for floor to ceiling cleaning: Balanced for cleaning up top, down below and in between.
Converts for handheld cleaning: All Dyson cordless vacuums quickly convert to a handheld for quick clean ups, spot cleaning and cleaning difficult places.
At my Dyson party, guests munched on brunch items while taking part in a fun Dyson Power Clean Challenge. Guests were permitted to make a mess in my house before putting the Dyson V6 Absolute to the test!
After completing the challenge, I understood why Dyson was so confident to put their vacuum to test! My old vacuum actually looked like it was broken when trying to pick up the mess next to the Dyson V6 Absolute. That’s how amazing this vacuum is!
As a mom, the cheerios hardwood floor challenge was one of my favorites. What parent hasn’t dealt with cheerios being thrown on the ground or being found in every nook and cranny? Being a coffee addict, I was also interested to see what vacuum cleaned the coffee grains the best. I make espresso and anyone who has steeped their own grains knows how messy the process can be! Here are the results of this coffee grain test with the two other challenges added, the flour and ribbon.
My dyson party was obviously a success! The partygoers were all drooling after seeing how powerful the Dyson V6 Absolute is. I’m betting when I do some visiting this holiday season, I’m going to see a lot of Dyson vacuums cleaning up the inevitable mess.
