Valentine’s Day is not only a day for adults, but children as well. It’a a great day for children learn about the different types of ‘love’ while having some fun. Growing up, I loved decorating Valentine’s Day cards with my favourite characters on top and then handing them during my class parties in primary school. The chocolate and candy I received wasn’t too shabby either!
Being a Peanuts Brand Ambassador, I was gifted some fun items to throw a Valentine’s Day party with my 3-year-old daughter this year. To be honest, can’t think of any better way to celebrate than with Peanuts. Many of my Valentine’s Day cards as a kid featured Snoopy and Woodstock on top!
My 3-year-old daughter, Ava, just discovered what Valentine’s Day is and she has wanted to make her grandma a small gift for the special day. So, this weekend we had a Peanut’s card making party! Making cards with a pre-schooler doesn’t have to be too hard! I let Ava personalize the card by letting her draw on a white piece of paper. She tried writing her name for Grandma and then we glued the paper to the front of the card. Then we used the blank card, foamies and jewels from the Peanuts Valentine’s Day party package. These items can also be purchased at local craft stores.
Actress Francesca Capaldi—who stars as Charlie Brown’s beloved Little Red-Haired Girl the upcoming 3D feature film entitled, The Peanuts Movie also hosted a Peanuts-themed Valentine’s Day party with Snoopy and his sister Belle at the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad, California.
Francesca, one of the stars of Disney’s Dog with a Blog, and her friends enjoyed Valentine’s Day card-decorating, delicious cakes and cupcakes, and of course a showing of the classic TV special, Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown.
