Reese Witherspoon Credits Her Children With Making Her A Better Women

Reese Witherspoon sat down for an interview with Elle Magazine, “The Women in Hollywood” issue. For the November 2013 issue Reese wore a sexy black cut-out dress.

Reese spoke to the magazine about having children and parenthood, she said, “Somebody was saying to me the other day, ‘Oh, people get less interesting when they have kids.’ I just don’t think that’s true.  I feel like I was so confused before I had kids, I almost got in my own way.”

She also talked to them about how her children make her a better women, “Having kids made me clearer about who I was as a woman. I just wanted to exhibit good qualities for my daughter. I was a little competitive before I had kids — probably really competitive, to be honest.  It really made me let go of that.”

Reese has she three children,  two children with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. 14-year-old Ava, and 9-year-old Deacon and she also has a 12-month old son, Tennessee with her second husband Jim Toth.

Reese is certainly right about parenthood changing your life, my daughter Ava (same name as Reese’s daughter) changed my husband and my perspective of the world.  Before we had Ava we were world travelers, looking for adventure and fun.  Once we held Ava in our hands we realized we had the whole world in our hands and our attitude about life and the future changed.
