Review: L’Occitane Bonne Mère Collection

celebbabylaundry-review_1000

I absolutely adore the world famous French skincare brand L’Occitane En Provence. I used their incredibly nourishing Shea butter on my bump while pregnant with my daughter Ava, so I was surprised to find out that they have a collection specially crafted for the whole family.

The Bonne Mère collection offers families with small children (3+) hypoallergenic and PH neutral formulas that are made without parabens or phenoxyethanol. Each bottle is also made using environment-friendly vegetal plastic bottles.

Being a lover of chemical-free/eco-friendly personal care products I was excited to try their products out on my family.

Douceur de Douche – Gentle Body Wash

I love body wash and was genuinely impressed with this gently body wash. I hate when creamy washes are thick and goopy, but this wash was the complete opposite. Enriched with Honey the wash has a light texture to it and melts onto the skin. The smell of honey is mild and leaves a lightly scented smell on the skin.

The cream costs #34.00 for the largest sized bottle (20.2 fl.oz). This is a good price because you don’t need a lot the wash to cleanse your skin. It should last for six months if used regularly.

Creme Doucer – Gentle Cream

This cream is also enriched with honey and is very comparable to the Gentle Wash in terms of smell and texture. The cream is light and goes on smoothly. The product is non-greasy and absorbs into the skin much faster than a lot of creams.  I also hate when the scent of a cream rubs off on things I touch, so I was happy  to find out that this product does not do that.

The cream costs $22.00 (2.5fl.oz). It can go on every part of the body, so the price is reasonable.

VERDICT: The smell of these products are divine, but not overpowering. Both are creamy, yet light. If you have sensitive skin then the L’Occitane Bonne Mère Collection is a must try.
