Channing Tatum Opens Up About Becoming a Father

The 85th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood

Channing Tatum is busy promoting his latest movie, White House Down, but he still has newborn daughter Everly on his mind.

While being interviewed for various interviews on Monday (June 24), the new dad couldn’t help but talk about his new life.

“I’ll give you some baby advice: You’re not going to do anything for the first six months,” the 33-year-old Tatum told Extra‘s A.J. Calloway, who is expecting a baby with Dionne Walker this summer. “You’re just like, ‘Can I have the baby at some point today?’ You’re never going to be so excited when something poos.”

Then in an interview with ET Canada, the actor explained why he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum decided to share the first picture of their daughter on Facebook.

“We didn’t want to go through a tabloid — we just wanted to let it out so paparazzi would stop trying to hound us,” Tatum explained. “You know, ‘Here it is, that’s it. Now, let us be.'”

When asked about having more children, the Dear Mike actor admits they haven’t rule it out.

“We could possibly have some Irish twins. I don’t know!”

White House Down hits theatres, June 28th.
