Tamera Mowry-Housley Is Embracing Her New Figure After Given Birth

Tamera Mowry-Housley is one of those women that has always been really skinny. When she had her son Aden back in November Tamera probably expected her body to bounce right back into shape in no time. Instead she is a normal woman that just had a baby. She has curves where she has never had them along with some lumps that she’ll be happy to see disappear.

Tamera walked her first red carpet since becoming a mom when she stepped out with sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards Luncheon She took some time to talk about her post-baby body saying,

“When I see people like Claire Danes and Megan Fox I think, ‘My body won’t do that!’ My boobs are in my face, I have stretch marks. I just birthed a human being and that was hard, so I am enjoying this. I want to represent a normal woman who just had a baby. This is who I am.”

Tamera said her husband has been extremely supportive of this point in her life and thinks she should embrace the changes to her body. Instead of striving to be stick skinny really quick Tamera is looking up to fellow stars that took their time bouncing back. Her goals are realistic and she wants to send a good message to fellow new moms. Focus on your baby and feeling good, everything else eventually will fall into place.

Have you been shocked by your post baby body too? I know I gained a lot with my kids no matter how healthy I was and 50 pounds would fall off within 6 weeks. Those last ten pounds I had to kill myself for months to get rid of. It’s not easy for most of us! Tell us your story in the comments below!
