Jessica Simpson: Is “Focused & Determined” To Lose The Baby Weight

Jessica Simpson Covers US Weekly

Jessica Simpson has a lot to celebrate, an adorable new baby daughter, a devoted fiance Eric Johnson and a healthy post-baby body.

After gaining 70 pounds during her pregnancy with six-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew, Simpson decided to slim down healthy with the help of Weight Watchers PointsPlus program and four-times-a-week training sessions with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.

“She’s so focused and determined,” her Weight Watchers leader Liz Josefsberg tells the new issue of Us Weekly. “She’s very brave to do this in a healthy, more realistic way.”

The singer is happy with her weight loss, but admits losing the weight is not easy.

“My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel,” she recently admitted. “I’m just your everyday woman.”

However her trainer, Pasternak comends Simpson for her determination.

“In over 20 years, I’ve never seen as consistent a weight loss,” he tells. “Jessica’s right where she needs to be . . . She’s gotten so much stronger.”

Simpson reveals that her friends have also joined Weight Watchers.

“It’s really encouraging to know we’re all going through the same struggle,” she says of her weekly weigh-ins.
